Integrated Benefits Institute | Opioids, Pain and Absence: The Productivity Implications of Substance Use Among U.S Workers
Kentuckiana Health Collaborative and IBM Watson Heath | Opioid Benchmarking Fast Facts
From November, 2019 to April, 2020 a cohort of employers collaborated to take a deep dive into how they can support their employees and business in the prevention, treatment, and recovery from opioid misuse and disorder, and the diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic pain. Through a series of in person and virtual meetings, these employers learned from experts and one another on how to optimize their healthcare benefits, data analytics, and workplace policies to accomplish this mission.
The best practices presented in the Kentuckiana Health Collaborative’s Opioids and the Workplace employer toolkit served as the framework for this series. By exploring the challenges, successes, and opportunities surrounding these best practices, employers were able to collectively learn how they may implement them in their own business. Chronicled here at the materials and virtual learning opportunities that guided employers through this series.
