KCHMS Opioid Measures - Public Comment Form

Healthcare stakeholders in Kentucky are invited to review and comment on the addition of opioid-related measures to the Kentucky Core Healthcare Measures Set. The public comment period runs through November 10.
  • Behavioral Health Care

    Please review each measure in the behavioral health care measures set and indicate whether support its inclusion in the Kentucky Core Healthcare Measures Set. Add any additional comments to each measure.
    NCQA: For members 18 years and older, the rate per 1,000 receiving prescription opioids at a high dosage for ≥15 days during the measurement year (average morphine equivalent dose [MED] >120 mg).
    For members 18 years and older, the rate per 1,000 receiving prescription opioids for ≥15 days during the measurement year who receive opioids from multiple providers. Three rates are reported: 1. Multiple Prescribers: The rate per 1,000 of members receiving prescriptions for opioids from four or more prescribers during the measurement year. 2. Multiple Pharmacies: The rate per 1,000 of members receiving prescriptions for opioids from four or more pharmacies during the measurement year. 3. Multiple Prescribers and Multiple Pharmacies: The rate per 1,000 of members receiving prescriptions for opioids from four or more prescribers and four or more pharmacies during the measurement year (i.e., the rate per 1,000 of members who are numerator compliant for both the Multiple Prescribers and Multiple Pharmacies rates).
